Get to know Kirsty, one of our talented Stylists from Hair Solved Manchester.
It feels like quite a while since we last shared one of our 5 Minute Interviews with a member of the Hair Solved Team.
We couldn’t be more delighted that our newest Q&A is with Kirsty, one of the newest members of the team at Hair Solved Manchester. As you will read Kirsty’s attitude to her work is perfectly aligned with that of Hair Solved; delivering the highest possible standard of hairdressing in a welcoming and caring environment.
Q1. What did you do before you worked at Hair Solved?
I trained at Bury College where I completed my Level 2 & 3 in hairdressing and Level 2 barbering. I am currently at University studying for a FdSc Degree in Salon Management. I then worked as a mobile hairdresser for the first 4 years of my hairdressing career.
Q2. What attracted you to Hair Solved as an employer?
I have always had an interest in hair loss solutions and Trichology.
The work the girls do at Hair Solved is amazing! I know that female hair loss and hair thinning can affect every aspect of a woman’s life and seeing our client’s confidence grow is so rewarding.

Q3. How important is the relationship you have with the rest of the team?
At Hair Solved we are a family, a really close-knit group. You can rely on each and every member of the team to provide any help and support that may be needed – with regular meetings and praise where due.
Q4. What do you enjoy most about working at Hair Solved?
Being able to help restore a client’s confidence by giving back their identity is so rewarding. But also working with the girls and Marco comes a close second.
Q5. How important is the relationship you have with clients?
Really important, when I have a client in the chair, I want them to feel relaxed and comfortable. Building a good rapport and providing an in-depth consultation helps ease their fears and ensures I provide the best service.
Q6. Do you find it difficult to explain to friends and family what your job is?
No, I could talk to anyone and everyone about my job for days! I do feel so proud of the work we do at Hair Solved and I believe it is important to raise awareness about the causes and impact of female hair loss.
Q7. Do you find that customers get emotional when you talk to them about hair loss?
Some do. Everyone is different and deals with their hair loss differently. But no matter how motional a client may feel we are always there for them every step of the way.
Q8. Do you find this difficult or fulfilling to deal with? Do you feel that you help them regain their confidence?
Absolutely, it is amazing to see our client’s transformations, both their hair and their confidence.It is a really fulfilling and rewarding job.
Q9. How do clients react to their new hair?
Most clients are overjoyed, some a little overwhelmed but we always ensure clients are happy when they leave. It is especially important that we ensure they are confident in maintaining and styling their new hair.
Q10. Will you continue to develop your skills?
Yes, I have just finished my Level 4 and am currently studying Level 5. I really enjoy studying and developing my skills and bringing all that I learn to my work at Hair Solved.
Q11. What do you like to do to relax?
A good old movie night with the Kids.
